Now inside all is deteriorated and destroyed from humidity, also the dividing walls. The internal conditions of the house are very bad. I don't know how much the repairs will cost (maybe 6.000/8.000 Euros). I am contacting some builder to do the first step of restoration inside of my house, that is removing everything needs to be removed and cleaning everywhere by high temperature steam instruments and other types of gears.

The garden is easily manageable with mature lawns and shrubs but provides ample play space for small children and it is securely fenced off from the drive and car park. An old stone store needs extensive renovation but may be suitable for conversion and would provide an interesting building project for a builder or keen DIYer. An emergency generator and changeover equipment were installed ten years or so ago in case of power cuts. They are checked every year and are still in full working order, though to date they have never been required even during the recent Beast from the East storm which hit Scotland in February/March 2018. Broadband speeds are excellent for a rural area, though obviously do not compare with those in a major town or city. Average readings are over 7Mb/S - ample for streaming movies etc. Satellite broadband is available offering much higher download speeds. We have an idyllic rural location, looking out over the Dronach Burn and agricultural land to an old watermill. The Dronach Burn serves the Glendronach Distillery a few hundred yards away. The Glendronach was the last distillery in Scotland to have a working malting floor - which can still be seen though it is no longer in use. The distillery runs daily tours throughout the year and has a fascinating Visitor Centre as do many of the other distilleries which are situated within an hour of the house. Placemill Cottage is 6 miles from the A96 which links Scotland's two Northernmost Cities - Aberdeen and Inverness - and is ten miles from each of the pretty Market Towns of Turriff and Huntly. The house is only three miles from the Castle trail and 400 yards from the Whisky Trail. Fyvie Castle, Huntly Castle, Castle Fraser, Leith Hall, Duff House and many other historic buildings are within a half hour drive while Scotland's Lighthouse Museum and Elgin Cathedral are both less than an hour away. We are surrounded by International Golf Courses including Trump International, all within an hours' drive. The Scottish Small Boat Festival takes place annually at picturesque Portsoy half an hour away. The cottage stands about 80 metres from the B9001 but the driveway is of good quality tarmac so the property benefits from being private while not isolated. Each of our next door neighbours' houses are a few hundred yards away across the fields. The home report which includes the mortgage valuation does not recommend any repairs and the house has a warm, homely 'cottagy' feel and is in truly Ready to move-in' condition.     Our lodge is in a beautiful location with views from our lounge and terrace straight over to Ben Lomond. We have 2 bedrooms,one with a king-size bed and the other with single beds.Both have en-suite bathrooms. There is a very clever kingsize bed hidden upstairs and there is a large bathroom upstairs. Storage space is plentiful in both bedrooms,the hall,lounge and dining area. Our lodge was refurbished last year to a very high standard,it truly is luxurious. The lounge is upstairs and incorporates an open plan dining area and a good sized kitchen with a breakfast bar. You won't be fighting over the comfy seat---there are super leather sofas and chairs,enough for at least 6 adults. There are tvs in both bedrooms and in the lounge.The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine in a seperate cupboard. Our outdoor terrace runs the full length of the lounge and is furnished with a wooden dining table and chairs and also 2 wooden relaxing chairs. Alternatively we will rent out for this week for £800.
